Steps[]

Talk to KU-Cass
Head to the area indicated by the clue
Search for clues
Take a photo of the Black Shores' main complex for KU-Cass
Go to the Tethys' Deep
Head to the Eidoscope to search for clues
Use the Sensor to search the Greenhouse [sic] for clues
Head to the Modulation Hall to search for clues
Use the Sensor to search around the Modulation Hall for clues
Inspect the ancient Terminal
Head to the Bank of Life to find the last clue
Inspect the Shorekeeper's illusion
Record the last location for KU-Cass

Completing this quest will award the player the Rover's Journey trophy Pale Blue Dot.

Keeping its promise, KU-Cass reveals a piece of crucial intel: an omnipotent Resonator once existed in the Black Shores. The clues leading to their legacy are now scattered throughout the Black Shores...

(Talk to KU-Cass): Talk to KU-Cass; KU-Cass: Ku ku ku! You're finally here!; KU-Cass: As my business partners, what I'm about to share with you is information no money can buy!; KU-Cass: Well, it'd be much appreciated if you happen to have the latest game cartridges to share with me in return, of course...; I'm working on it!; KU-Cass: A long, long time ago...; What's storytelling got to do with this?; KU-Cass: It's part of the intel! I'm getting there!; KU-Cass: A long, long time ago, there was a mysterious figure in the Black Shores! Legends say (‍heheText for male Rover/shesheText for female Rover‍) wields power beyond imagination. With a simple wave of the hand and a snap of the finger, a Threnodian could be destroyed in the blink of an eye!; Sounds like using cheats in a video game.; KU-Cass: However! One day, (‍heheText for male Rover/shesheText for female Rover‍) disappeared without a trace, and was never seen since.; KU-Cass: Not even a single record about (‍himhimText for male Rover/herherText for female Rover‍) can be found in the Tethys System.; KU-Cass: Some say in the deepest corners of the Black Shores, (‍hishisText for male Rover/herherText for female Rover‍) frequencies still linger, part of which (‍heheText for male Rover/shesheText for female Rover‍) willingly abandoned, while part of which (‍heheText for male Rover/shesheText for female Rover‍) unintentionally left behind.; KU-Cass: What do you think? Sounds like there's buried treasure to be found, doesn't it?; KU-Cass: Let's hop on it, then! I heard the first spot is close to the TD Observatory's anchor, somewhere with a bird's-eye view of the Greenhouse.; KU-Cass: If you manage to find the treasure, I'll... Well... It's all yours!; KU-Cass: But in exchange, I'd like you to take a photo of its exact location for me as a souvenir. Deal?; KU-Cass: I'll follow up with more intel as you go, same as before!

(Interact with the ancient surveying equipment): A strange yet assertive frequency wells up in you.; ???: From simplicity to complexity.; ???: We must unite the people, and rally under one banner.; ???: This island, this planet, will one day bloom endleslly like summer blossoms.

(Take the photo): KU-Cass: Hello, hello! Looks like you've found the first clue. Not bad.; KU-Cass: Do take a look at the other two locations I've sent you.

(Touch the note): A light and dreamy frequency fills your mind.; ???: That star... I see it.; ???: You're as clear as the day I first met you. That unwavering glow.; ???: I will remain here and fulfill my duties.; ???: Yet I wonder where you could be at this moment.; ???: I am unsure... Is Huanglong still how you imagined it to be?

(Inspect the Terminal): A cold and rational frequency overwhelms your thoughts.; ???: ...Access Confirmed. Astral Modulator.; ???: Compiling the codebase on the current epoch of Solaris.; ???: Estimated time required: Seven hundred sixty-three hours and twenty-one minutes.; ???: Programmed Target: Detect Lament-related frequencies.

(Inspect the Shorekeeper's illusion): A familiar yet distant ferquency crowds your memories.; ???: Go. Explore.; ???: There's much to this world than meets the eye.; ???: You shall venture further than others, and with it, bear greater solitude.; ???: You may depend on those around you, just as they depend on you.; ???: Bravery is a trait of humanity, not of gods.

(Take the photo): KU-Cass: Well? How did it go? Did a big treasure chest pop up in the end, like, "poof"?; Not really...; KU-Cass: How can this be? I always find a treasure like that in the games...; KU-Cass: What have you got?; Only some voices?; KU-Cass: Okay, then... *sigh* I can't have you go through all those troubles for nothing.; KU-Cass: For the end of a quest, there must be treasures, and treasures you shall have! Maybe I need to dig around for more intel about this.; KU-Cass: I'll make an album out of all the photos you took as well.
