The Black Shores is an organization enshrouded in mysteries and turmoil, headquartered on a remote archipelago and built on a large piece of Tacetite ore land mass that remains sealed away from the world in thick digital fog. They are dedicated to the hefty goal of world salvation. It is still uncertain when or who will lift its veil, allowing it to once more shoulder the task of connecting the world.

The Black Shores[]
Tucked away in the tempestuous Stormy Sea, lies an archipegalo known for its lavish Tacetite deposits and as a refuge for the world's most talented individuals. With a mission to combat the destructive Lament, the Black Shores has fostered strong partnerships with nations across Solaris-3. Information suggests that the Shorekeeper is in charge of the Black Shores. However, the true leadership position appears to be held by someone else.
The archipegalo cannot be accessed from any known lands. Only those recognized by the Black Shores or who have received an invitation and guidance can navigate their way to this hidden place. Members of the Black Shores who operate abroad, frequently traversing various lands, are known as "Consultants". Those stationed at the headquarters are referred to as "Bloom Bearers". Apart from these fundamental duties, the Black Shores also accommodates a plethora of other specialized roles. Though the Black Shores openly shares its advanced technologies with its partners, even its own members remain unaware of the true origins of these innovations.
The Black Shores Robots[]
These unique robots, found throughout the Black Shores, serve as the physical terminals of the Tethys System. Their construction and performance capabilities remain largely unknown, yet they possess direct access to the system, second only to its administrator. Within the Black Shores, these robots function both as assistants and tools in the daily activities of its members.
Each terminal has a distinct personality, and the study of these robots has advanced the field of cognitive psychology.
The Shorekeeper[]
A mysterious lifeform that rests beneath the Black Shores' subterranean galaxy. Her physical structure and age are shrouded in mystery. In the complicated coding language of the Tethys System, the name "Shorekeeper" also means "Guardian of Secrets". She chose to call herself "Shorekeeper" to symbolize her role in watching over those who venture away from the shores into faraway lands.
Description[]
The Black Shores is an archipelago shrouded in the Stormy Sea of Solaris. Formed from Tacetite, these isles constantly emanate Remnant Energy, casting an eerie "mist" that envelopes the region. The frequencies from the Tacetite and of the mist distorts human perception and jams all forms of communication, making the archipelago inaccessible to most. Only those recognized or invited by the Black Shores can navigate their way to this mysterious place, and communication with the outside world is only possible via the Black Shores' Beacon relay system.
The organization has a secretive membership process and most members of the organization keep their identities hidden.
Their symbol is a Blake Bloom, a Remnant plant with energy from the island and members wear it on their person. Only those who wear it can step on their soil.
They have developed a Lament prediction system and have established mutual partnerships with nations worldwide. The Resonance Beacons are set up to monitor the Lament, collecting data in real-time. They use monitoring registers that they had placed aroundnthe world to monitor the Sentinels. The TD observatory is used to monitor Tacet Discords across Solaris, it handles collection, storage and transmission of anything related to TDs.
The KU-robots found all over the island are directly linked to the Tethys System. The Tethys system gives them all their own personalities and voice frequencies are encoded into languages that humans can understand. The robots can be considered a living race of their own.

The Tethys System[]
The Tethys System, also known as the Civilization Simulation Sand Table, is a supercomputer unique to the Black Shores. The Tethys System has no discernible energy source, physical infrastructure, or processing core. Its coding language is extremely complex, and it is only known that its terminals take the form of various autonomous robots. In essence, the Tethys System is almost akin to a natural phenomenon, with an origin that remains entirely mysterious. The results generated by the Tethys System are projected as a starry sky within the underground of the Black Shores, made possible by multiple Anchors and underground Data Hubs. This has earned the underground region the title "City of Eternal Night".
Necrostar[]
A type of Stellar Matrix. Inside the Tethys System, a celestial body called Necrostar swallows the faulty data in its wake, a black hole where forsaken Matrices find their end.
Even the newfound science of Tacetite could not provide explanations for its fundamental nature, as all are subject to the gravity within it.
The Necrostar marks the beginning and the end of destruction. It also holds the key to salvation... Or perhaps, merely a lie.
Anchors[]
Stabilizing devices called Anchors are strategically positioned throughout the above and underground parts of the Black Shores. Their primary function is to calibrate and stabilize the frequencies of the giant Tacetite that makes up the island, effectively isolating the Tethys System's virtual layer from reality. Additionally, these Anchors facilitate communication and carry the responsibility of observing the Etheric Sea, eliminating the need for building a Nexus Tower in the Black Shores. The Anchors are independently developed and designed by the Black Shores, drawing inspiration from the reactor control rods used in pre-Lament reactor engineering. They are considered exemplary models of the Black Shores' minimalist engineering design.
Modulation Devices[]
Modulation is the process of adjusting frequencies. In Solaris-3, frequencies serve as a crucial tool for uncovering the truth about reality. By altering these frequencies, one can delve into the very core of existence. At the Black Shores, modulating Stellar Matrices, collection of stars, is crucial for tracing and analyzing the Lament. Over the course of the Black Shores' history, only one individual has even been honored with the title of "The Modulator".

Tethys' Deep[]
Here sits the Black Shores' Lament observation hub, the heart of the Tethys System. Its code stretches across the vast underground sky like ever-shifting celestial bodies, known as the "Stellar Matrices." The Tacetites that shape the Black Shores archipelago, with their immense energy, have continuously powered the vast "subterranean galaxy" and the endless computations of the Tethys System.
Bank of Life[]
The plant archive in Tethys' Deep, the Black Shores' underground area. Here, seeds collected by Bloom Bearers and Consultants from around the world are carefully nurtured by robot attendants. This vibrant underground section is where Solaris' flora gets systematically categorized.
Error Cell[]
The Stellar Matrices' orbital dance represents the execution of complex, high-dimensional code. As these celestial bodies collide, merge, and collapse, the code evolves through countless iterations. Occasionally, this process spawns errant code within some Stellar Matrices. To avoid contamination, the Black Shores contains these Stellar Matrices in special Tacetite vessels. The Error Cell then analyzes the aberrant data, deploying specialized probes to isolate the rogue code segments.
Eidoscope[]
The garden, nestled within the depths of the subterranean galaxy, serves as the lens to observe its great expanse. It is said that the garden existed well before the founding of the Black Shores, functioning as the eye that gazes upon the stars. However, what the eye perceives may remain unknown to the heart. What truths lie behind these supreme concepts?
KU-Roro Charging Stations[]
Nestled in Tethys' Deep, KU-Roro Charging Station is where KU-Roros (aka Tethys Terminals) return to recharge and "rest" when their energy reserves run low.
Modulation Hall[]
The lighthouse of the subterranean galaxy and the heart of human activity in the Black Shores. It is where "Modulator" of the past and people of the present observe and guide the course of stars in the vast underground sky. Through here all beings are reborn as stars, which, in turn, reflect brief moments of reality. With the power of the Tethys System, Star Matrices brought to this place can reveal glimpses of the past, whether of destruction or renewal.
Stellar Matrix[]
Based on the computational protocols of the Tethys System, the Stellar Matrix is a data package format that functions similarly to a highly compressed file. It has the capacity to store immense amounts of information and even simulate a Lament. Certain individuals can access these matrices under specific circumstances, making them an integral part of the Tethys System's operational framework. The first member to define a Stellar Matrix noted that standards of observing and evaluating one are similar to the astronomical standards of Solaris-3.
Data Torrent[]
The Data Torrent connecting all the Nexus on this planet continuously transfers information about abnormal fluctuations caused by the Lament and Waveworn back to the Stellar Matrix. The Stellar Matrix then constructs models to predict the location and time of the next Lament. However, it must be noted that the raw energy of the Data Torrent is capable of annihilating any physical entity caught in its flow.
Fallacy of No Return[]
The last line of defense built by the Tethys System, patrolling the borders between reality and digital world.
Tethys' Space Anchors[]
These stabilizing devices are strategically positioned throughout the surface and underground parts of the Black Shores. Their primary function is to calibrate and stabilize the frequencies of the giant Tacetite that makes up the island, effectively isolating the Tethys System's virtual layer from reality. Additionally, these Anchors facilitate communication and carry the responsibility of observing the Etheric Sea, eliminating the need to build a Nexus Tower in the Black Shores. The Anchors drew inspiration from the reactor control rods used in pre-Lament reactor engineering. They are considered exemplary models of the Black Shores' minimalist engineering design.
End of Wandering[]
On the virtual shores, deep within the Tethys System, lies the ultimate destination of the Black Shores in a distant future. The tides of fate bring the lost traveler to this place, where their journey finds their end. Yet, the guardian of this final destination, like yourself, is but a remnant of that very future.
Organization[]
The symbol of identity for the members of the Black Shores. Each of them possesses their own Blake Bloom.
Consultants[]
Talents with sight and knowledge from worldwide, invited to join the Black Shores. They operate abroad, frequently traversing various lands. Though excelling in different expertise, they act with a consensus to counter the threat of the Lament.
Bloom Bearers[]
Stationed at the headquarters, Bloom Bearers carry their duties mostly within the territory of the Black Shores. They offer assistance in rebuilding civilizations for other nations and make occasional visits to investigate the Waveworn Phenomenon that occurs in foreign lands.
Gardeners[]
In charge of organizing the information of new candidates.
