Co-op Mode becomes automatically available upon reaching Union Level 22. In Co-op mode, up to three players can simultaneously play together in the same world as a team.
Co-Op Mode Menu[]
The Co-op Mode Menu displays a limited list of other online players that are eligible for the player to join. The list displays the players' avatar, name, Union Level, connection level, signature, and Sigil. Joining another player will result in a Co-op session in their world.
From the menu, players can search for players by their UID, display a list of currently available Friends, and set their own Permission Settings to Join Upon Approval, Public, Closed, or Friends Only. This determines whether or not other players can initiate Co-op by joining their world.
Rules and Restrictions[]
- Teams in Co-op still have the same three character restriction as single-player. In a Co-op team consisting of three players, each player gets one character slot in the team. In a team of two players, the host gets two slots and the guest gets one.
- Resonators are not shared during Co-op; players can only play as their own Resonators, not those owned by other players.
- It is possible for players to use the same Resonator simultaneously.

- Overworld challenges, such as Bosses and Tacet Suppression
- Certain Sonoro Sphere challenges, such as Forgery Challenges and Simulation Training
- Co-Op Events

- Weekly Challenges
- Permanent game modes such as Whimpering Wastes
- Many Events can only be completed in single-player mode.
Restrictions[]
If you plan on farming materials in Co-Op mode efficiently, then there are some limitations when it comes to drops and collectibles:
- Echo drops have unlimited range to drop (meaning that Player 2 can kill a boss in Rinascita while host is still in Huanglong, it can still drop). The drop is client based, rarity is based on host's data bank level. It can supposedly despawn after 30 minutes.
- Collectibles like flower are not shared.
- All of the other resources have a maximum distance of 2000m to drop. If distance is longer than that, you will not get the materials. This includes:
- Breaking minerals
- Killing animals
- Killing enemies
- Picking up weapons that are found around Exile outposts
