Dialogue[]

(Optional) Learn about Chisa's condition
Ria: Welcome back, (‍Rover‍). Are you here to check on Chisa?
Icon Dialogue Talk How's she doing now?
Ria: Chisa's been moved to a sealed treatment chamber. She's under close observation and receiving phased therapeutic support.
Ria: Her body's been running under Overclocked strain for quite some time; some of her vitals aren't in great shape. Simply put... she's holding on, but her body is clearly exhausted.
Ria: That said, we've started indentifying some promising treatments paths. Early response looks good. We're not going to get back to full strength overnight, but with a little time, she should recover steadily. Nothing critcal at this point.
Icon Dialogue Talk I was just passing through.
Ria: Then I'll get back to analyzing her readings! Overall, things are moving in the right direction. Just give us a bit more time, and she'll be alright.

Trilan Ugh... Passing through the rift didn't feel great...
Elsie That's all you've got to say after a full field investigation in Honami?
Trilan It's a shame... I only got to see it after it was already destroyed.
Trilan: Come to think of it... Platya's hometown is actually Honami City, isn't it?
Elsie: Yeah, she rarely mentions that. The one time she did was because her ‍platycodon‍ had sprouted.
Trilan: ...I recently learned an old Huanglong saying from Encore: "The closer to home, the more timid you are."
Trilan: That's probably what Platya felt like when she saw her hometown in a Sonoro... Maybe a nice meal will cheer her up.
Elsie: Heh, didn't expect you to be so caring. Count me in then.
Logan: This Sonoro's size... It's way beyond what we estimated.
Logan: That means... everything we knew before was just the tip of the iceberg.
Icon Dialogue Talk Any new progress on the study of Honami City?
Logan: Oh, I compared this "Honami City" in the Sonoro with the records of Honami City in Tethys's database...
Logan: Turns out this "Honami City" is indeed Honami City, but also not the Honami City.
Icon Dialogue Talk ......
Icon Dialogue Talk No riddles, please.
Logan: Haha. Alright then, I'll come straight to the point. There are two main findings.
Logan: First, the Honami City we find or can reach here is only a part of the original city.
Logan: Second, many of the city's landmarks and sceneries are already different from the original ones.
Logan: ...I wonder if this is caused by the power of the Lament, or if the Sonoro is manifesting what people imagine the city to be.
Lingfeng You met the black-haired girl from Honami?
KU-Terry Ku! You weren't around. My drive shafts started acting up, and I just happened to run into her.
KU-Terry Didn't expect her to spot the issue right away, and she helped fix my foot!
KU-Terry: Ku. At the time, I thought if she twisted it that hard, my "leg" would snap... but it actually recovered just fine.
Lingfeng: I heard she's still resting and will stay at the Black Shores for now. Not sure what she plans to do next.
KU-Terry: Of course she'll join the Black Shores and become a Bloom Bearer!
KU-Terry: Kuku, by my calculations, Chisa's combat skills are more than enough to impress Miss Camellya!
Lingfeng: Whoa, hold on. That's not for us to decide, okay? She has to choose for herself.
Lingfeng: ...Still, I have a feeling Miss Camellya will come out on top.

(Wait for a while)
With Chisa's treatment over, you once again return to the Black Shores...
Valentina: Ah, (‍Rover‍). Perfect timing. There's something you need to know.
Valentina: Since we took charge of the Honami Sonoro Sphere, we've been noticing some changes on the inside—
Valentina: The link between Honami and the real world is stabilizing, and the city's time flow is almost in sync.
Valentina: But scans from Tethys indicate that much of the recent frequency exchanges weren't passing through this rift.
Icon Dialogue Talk Meaning?
Valentina: Meaning it could either just be a misreading due to overlapping data, or... there's another access point to the Honami Sonoro Sphere.
Valentina: On top of that, the city's buzzing with unidentified phenomena and unconfirmed hazard zones. We'll continue to monitor them closely and run further analysis.
Icon Dialogue Talk By the way, how's Chisa doing?
Valentina: She's just completed her treatment. Everything seems to be all right. Her Rabelle's Curve is within normal parameters, and there are no significant lingering Overclocking symptoms.
Valentina: That said, I don't recommend repeating what happened in Honami. That level of Resonance strain is unsustainable.
Valentina: Ah, excuse me.
Valentina:...Yes. Mm-hmm. Got it. (‍‍He's‍/She's‍‍) with me right now.
Valentina: I just got a call that Chisa submitted an itinerary not long ago and left for Honami alone.
Icon Dialogue Talk Why would she go back?
Valentina: She didn't specify. All she wrote was "I want to go back."
Valentina: You can find her guide KU-Roro in the Haven of Sprouts. It may know something.
Rover: I'll go check it out. Knowing Chisa, she usually doesn't act without purpose.

Valentina: Anything else you'd like to know? As long as it's within my authority, I can answer.
Icon Dialogue Arrow About Honami's time flow...
Valentina: After Honami was devastated, energy from the Lament sealed the entire city into a unique Sonoro Sphere like congealed amber. Its time flow was slowed down compared to the rest of the world.
Valentina: A similar case would be Mt. Firmament. Being on the inside for a day means up to a hundred days might have passed on the outside.
Valentina: But it's not permanent. As Honami's connection to reality grows stronger, the flow of time begins to restore itself.
Valentina: You getting sucked into Honami through that rift has got Shorekeeper worried sick, and she's been closely monitoring everything that's going on over there since.
Valentina: Good thing is, at that point, Honami's time flow was no longer that different from the real world. So to us, you were only gone for just a bit.
Icon Dialogue Arrow About Chisa's stay at the Black Shores...
Valentina: While she was recovering, Chisa applied for partial access to the Black Shores database, mainly to learn general knowledge and modern trends.
Valentina: We also saw her strolling around the living area and taking a look at the facilities occasionally, just like a lot of the New Branches when they first get here.
Valentina: The KU-Roro responsible for taking care of her can fill you in if you want to know more.
Icon Dialogue Arrow About the Bloom Bearer Sumika...
Valentina: Sumika is a member of the Black Shores who went M.I.A. many years ago. We dispatched a team on a search and rescue, but nothing solid came of it.
Valentina: The report Chisa submitted to us has detailed Sumika's operations and engagements in Honami.
Valentina: She was one of the most outstanding researchers of the Error Cell, and an elite Bloom Bearer who made the Black Shores proud.
Valentina: The Stellar Matrix will forever remember her noble pursuit of truth.
Icon Dialogue Exit That's all for now.

Platya The situation in Honami has stabilized. Think I could apply for a field investigation?
Valentina You can, but be careful. That Sonoro still hides more questions than answers.
Platya It's been so many years... I can finally return to my hometown.

(Ask the Tethys Terminal responsible for taking care of Chisa)
KU-Shosho: Kuku... Why did she leave in such a hurry? Should I clean this up?
KU-Shosho: Ah, Bloom Bearer. Ms. Chisa has been gone for some time now.
Icon Dialogue Talk Did you notice anything strange when she left?
KU-Shosho: She was only visiting the nearby facilities, like she normally does. But I had noticed her emotional readings had been low for a while.
KU-Shosho: She used to enjoy reading the archives, but in the past few days, I saw her staring off into the distance or performing ‍kirigami‍.
Icon Dialogue Talk Kirigami...?
KU-Shosho: Ah, yes. Making small art crafts by cutting paper. There are still a few left on this table. She usually always cleaned up afterward, but this time...
Rover: (These look like scraps from all the paper cutting. And this one here is a half-finished tower... It looks kind of familiar.)
KU-Shosho: After submitting her leave, I even asked her if she would like someone to accompany her on her travels, to which she refused.
Icon Dialogue Talk I see.
Icon Dialogue Talk I'll go find Chisa.
KU-Shosho: Please. I leave Ms. Chisa in your care.
KU-Shosho Now then, I believe it's safe to say I can finally go for a recharge...

The Aetherfin shows you a holographic reconstruction of the event that occurred here—
You see a girl looking off into the distance, her eyes lost in the blue sky. What could she be thinking?

Peaceful Neighborhood
Never in memory has Honami been this quiet... Chisa, where are you?

Chisa: (‍Rover‍), what are you doing here? Are you... looking for me?
Icon Dialogue Talk Well, someone left her sick bed, so I came to check on her.
Chisa: I'm sorry for not staying at the Black Shores and resting as I should.
Icon Dialogue Talk What made you decide to come back?
Chisa: I'm in stable shape, and the Black Shores approved my temporary travel.
Chisa: But these are just conditions that made this possible. As for the true reason...
Chisa: I wanted to see what's become of Honami... since the loop ended.
Chisa: Strolling through the streets, I realize that this is my first time seeing the city as a tourist, despite being trapped here for months.
Chisa: No more worrying when the next Lament will come. No more desperate reach for Neon Tower. Now, I can simply wander around. No burdens.
Chisa: The Lament left scars. They won't fade. But what was once frozen in time... seems to be moving again.
Rover: This is the new future that we and everyone who once lived here forged together.
Chisa: A new... future, you say?
Chisa: By the way, I asked the Black Shores to help me verify the academy I once attended and dig into my records.
Chisa: They didn't reach the school directly, but... I found out something. I was in Honami for around two months. Outside, over twenty years have passed.
Chisa: Kuchiba Chisa... was a first-year student at Startorch Academy over twenty years ago.
Icon Dialogue Talk ...Over twenty years ago?
Chisa: Yes. I had a feeling this would be the case when Sumika mentioned her findings, but I didn't expect such a huge time difference.
Chisa: The nice orientation ceremony... still feels recent. But my classmates I met have long since graduated.
Chisa: When I tried to contact my parents back home, I realized there was no way for me to reach them at all.
Chisa: Where are they? What have they been doing? How will they react if they find out that their daughter is still alive... I have no way of knowing.
Chisa: Now this place feels more like home than the world out there.
Rover: It just takes some time to get used to an unfamiliar enviornment.
Rover: Just ask the Black Shores to help you keep digging. With enough time, you're bound to find those connections again.
Chisa: Since you're here, would you walk with me? I'd like to see what Honami looks like now... together.
Rover: Any particular places you have in mind?
Chisa: I haven't come up with an exact plan yet. Specific routes, time of travel, rest locations... None.
Chisa: Just as I thought. I'm not my usual self today.
Rover: Hey, it's just a "weekend getaway." No plans needed. Just get up and go.
Chisa: If you put it that way...
Chisa: How about the lake surrounded by cherry blossoms?

(Take a stroll with Chisa)
Chisa: I've never mentioned it before, but the buildings and infrastructure here... they remind me of the neighborhood I grew up in.
Rover: Brings back old memories?
Chisa: Yes. Even just walking around here brings back memories.
Chisa: That vending machine looks like it's still working.
Chisa: I'll buy you some juices as a thank you for the hassle you went through to find me.

Chisa: I think it got stuck inside...
Icon Dialogue Talk Try and go for another one, maybe?
Chisa: I've got a better way to handle no-good vending machines like this.
Icon Dialogue Talk I've seen this before. Just whack it a few times.
Chisa: Yep. You've read my mind.
Icon Dialogue Talk Do something with your invincible scissors, Chisa.
Chisa: That may be a little too much. Here, watch this.

Chisa: Here you go. Simplicity works best.
Chisa: ...Is something wrong.
Icon Dialogue Talk Didn't have time for this kind of thing before.
Chisa: You're right. We were always running from something. Or chasing after something.
Icon Dialogue Talk Just wondering if it's past its expiration date.
Chisa: Remember that canned fruit we had that one night? It's the same thing. I've never got an upset stomach from it, at least.
Chisa: Before I transfered to Startorch, I used to hide next to the vending machines behind my high school building all the time.
Chisa: No one else really went there. It was quiet. The sound of soda cans dropping down would make me feel relaxed.
Icon Dialogue Talk Was life difficult back then?
Icon Dialogue Talk Was it because you're a Resonator?
Chisa: Where I come from, discrimination and prejudice against Resonators are part of life. School was no exception.
Chisa: The gossip, the looks, the way people kept their distance... intentional or not, it still got to me.
Chisa: I tried to stand up for myself. I tried holding it in. Nothing changed. Just when I was close to breaking, I received an acceptance letter.
Chisa: And so, with my family's blessing, I left home and went to Startorch Academy, far away in the Lahai-Roi region.
Rover: Startorch Academy... What was it like?
Chisa: So it's true, you... No, it's nothing.
Chisa: It is a multinational school built specifically for Resonators. A metropolis of science and research.
Chisa: Even for a girl who couldn't face her own problems and chose to run away, they accepted me with a warm welcome. I met people who dreamed of reaching the stars.
Chisa: This swing... It's just like the one back home.
Chisa: Would you join me? There is room for one more.

Chisa: ...
Icon Dialogue Talk Chisa?
Icon Dialogue Talk Solaris to Chisa.
Chisa: I hear you. I'm just... enjoying the gentle sway. Especially... when someone's beside me.
Chisa: Everything feels so peacefull all of a sudden.
Chisa: When you're ready to move on, I'll get up.

(Stay on swing for a while)
Chisa: You don't have to wait for me. I think I've been on the swing long enough.
(Go back on the swing)
Chisa: Oh, you're back. Do you like sitting on the swing too?

(Move forward and get off the swing)
Chisa: I can already see our destination from here. Look at the cherry blossoms... they weren't blooming like this before.
Icon Dialogue Talk They really are beautiful now.
Chisa: Like clouds floating above the water or like cotton poking through a torn couch... Sorry, I'm using weird analogies again.
Icon Dialogue Talk They're the same as they were before.
Chisa: It could be that my mood is just different now than before.

Chisa: That fountain over there... it's been concealed by leftover Irideglow Crystals. Kind of a shame.
Rover: I'll take care of it. Just like back in Neon Tower.

(Restore the fountain frozen in Irideglow Crystal)
Chisa: There's something in the water...
Rover: Let's fish it out and see what it is.
Rover: This looks like a cassette tape.
Chisa: Ah, I know what it is.
Chisa: Every Startorch Academy student has a frequency storage cassette like this inside their Terminals.
Rover: (I remember now. Galbrena once told me about them.)
Chisa: I also have one in my Terminal. They were given out during the orientation.
Rover: If it's a device unique to Lahai-Roi, what's it doing here?
Chisa: Random "castaways" often appear inside the Honami Sonoro Sphere. This must be one of those.
Chisa: I'll take this to Namipon. It should be able to help us find where it came from.
Chisa: Cherry blossoms.... Right in front of us. It's so beautiful.
Icon Dialogue Talk Let's go over there and take a picture.
Icon Dialogue Talk This right here is a photo moment.
Chisa: Sure. You and I together.

(Follow Chisa)
Rover: Make sure you look towards the camera.
Chisa: I will.

(Take a photo with Chisa)
Chisa: When I was little, my parents once took me to a park full of cherry blossoms for a picnic. I made kirigami in all kinds of shapes and had them guess what they were.
Chisa: The kirigami didn't really look like anything, but when I told them, they'd always smile and pretend they understood.
Chisa: Those cherry blossoms... they looked just like they do now. After being away from home for so long, drifting around... I feel like I'm home again.
Icon Dialogue Talk Welcome home, Chisa.
Chisa: Thank you, ‍Senpai‍.
Chisa: They told me about you at the Black Shores. They you've lost some memories.
Chisa: This student ID card came into my possession by chance. It was in that Tower that I found—No, that I recognized who it belonged to.
Chisa: I never found the right moment to return this to you. Here, this belongs to you.
Icon Dialogue Talk I was a student at Startorch Academy?
Chisa: We never met in person at school, but... I did read the course selection guide you wrote.
Icon Dialogue Talk I don't remember anything.
Chisa: It's okay. Honami is where we first met each other.
Chisa: But I've been talking about myself this whole time. Why don't you tell me about your story so far? I'd like to know more about you.
Chisa: Rinascita... sounds like quite an adventure. Only someone like you, Senpai, could accomplish so much.
Icon Dialogue Talk You can stop calling me that for now.
Icon Dialogue Talk Hold on, that title takes a little getting used to.
Chisa: Alright. You always seem to find your way forward, no matter how uncertain things are. Like you did in Honami. But I...
Chisa: What comes next? Should I continue my studies at the Academy? Should I go home? Or should I do something else... I still haven't decided.
Rover: No need to rush your decision. You can take your time and stick around here for a while.
Rover: At least, you won't have to face the future alone anymore.
Chisa: You're right. We're partners.
Chisa: I received a precius gift while traveling with you—the courage to face reality and move on.
Chisa: There's something else I want to give you besides the ID card, (‍Rover‍).
Chisa: I was out of inspiration towards the end, but finally managed to finish it after comimg back to Honami and getting some ideas.
Icon Dialogue Talk So this is what you were working on during recovery.
Chisa: Yes. It's a pretty tricky piece, so I ended up using a lot of paper. Looks very much like Honami, don't you think?
Chisa: My hometown was built next to the Tacet Field created by Honami's fall. Even though the Lament still haunts us, some stubborn souls have rebuilt that familiar Tower again.
Chisa: We still reach for the sky. Still hope radio waves break through the blockade to connect the isolated regions left behind...
Chisa: The painful memories of home will never fade. But I won't turn away from the beautiful ones, either. Together... they are what make me Kuchiba Chisa.
Chisa: This is my thank-you gift to you. Something precious to me... A memory of my home.
Icon Dialogue Talk I'll hold on to it.
Chisa: I just remembered... Namipon always said the cafe needed more life. Maybe now is the time to try?
Chisa: Like you said, I have time to "stick around" for a while. So would it be alright if I invite your friends from Black Shores here for a party?
Chisa: Before I make any decisions on what to do next, I want Shashou Cafe to celebrate a real "opening day."
Pink petals swirl upon the wind like drifting thoughts, gently filling the space between hearts.
Why not stay a little longer, in this long season, along the streets we once walked, here in Honami...

Chisa: So, do you want to hang around a bit longer, or shall we head back? I'll follow your lead.
Icon Dialogue Talk There's something I want to ask.
Chisa: Is there something else you'd like to know? We've got plenty of time.
Icon Dialogue Option About your Overclocking symptoms...
Chisa: Are you worried about me? I'm feeling all right for the time being.
Icon Dialogue Talk Not pretending to be okay, right?
Chisa: Not when I'm with you. The people at the Black Shores called it a miracle. That someone who was on the verge of Overclocking for so long could recover. But...
Chisa: When we passed through Honami's rift, I felt a warm frequency flowing towards me. I suspect that's what helped stabilize my Resonance energy.
Icon Dialogue Talk Was it...
Chisa: It was the person who brought you to Honami... In the end, the same person pulled me back from the edge. Again.
Icon Dialogue Option About when I was a student at Startorch Academy...
Chisa: I'm sorry. I was only a first-year student in Engineering. I hadn't been around long enough. Everything I heard about you came from what others said.
Chisa: All I really heard was that you were popular. Always had friends around. If I hadn't been caught in the Honami incident, we probably wouldn't never met.
Icon Dialogue Option About that cassette tape...
Chisa: The ones from Startorch aren't the average cassettes that you normally see. They are specialized equipment used to store frequencies.
Chisa: One of the instructors described it as a frequency backup storage for the holder. It records the person's very "existence."
Icon Dialogue Talk Why make backups of frequencies?
Chisa: It's one of the Acadeny's safety precautions against the Waveworn Phenomenon. That is all that I know.
Icon Dialogue Return That's it for now.
Icon Dialogue Exit Let's go for another walk.
Icon Dialogue Arrow It's getting late. Let's head back to the cafe.
Chisa: Come on, then. We should spruce the place up a bit to give our friends a warm welcome.

Outside Shashou Cafe
A day later
Abby: Come to think of it, this is the first time I'm here at this cafe while wide awake.
Rover: You sure it's not because you've been putting in more nap hours lately?
Abby: Says who? I got locked out by the Sonoro Sphere right before the start, remember? I couldn't even get to you. And don't get me started on all the wacky frequencies that I got mixed in with...
Rover: You did a great job. Welcome to Shashou Cafe, Abby.
Abby: ...Whoa, why the formality all of a sudden? Ahem. So you asked Shorekeeper to invite the Black Shores gang over for a party. They should be here pretty soon, right?
Rover: Yep. Let's go check on Chisa and see how the decorating is going.

(Enter the redecorated cafe)
Abby: Gotta hand it to ya, I love what you guys did with place. Feels like a mini festival in here!
Chisa: Oh, you're here. Namipon and I are just making finishing touches to the party.
Chisa: Welcome aboard, Abby.
Abby: Well, hello there, Chisa. It's nice to see you again. You're all so kind, you know. Say, whatcha got on the menu—
Namipon: In the cozy cafe, vibrant lights dance on the walls. Soft chimes whisper. Glad to have you aboard again, Passenger.
Namipon: Chisa's the Acting Manager today, and she'll be our host for the opening party.
Abby: Wait a minute... Something smells funny about this guy!
Abby: This frequency isn't Echo or TD. Feels like it's hiding a whole mixed bag in its fuzzy tummy!
Icon Dialogue Talk It's the cafe's mascot.
Icon Dialogue Talk It's the guardian of Honami City.
Abby: You say that, but I don't trust it. Hey, ain't there a whole lot more of you around here too?
Namipon: Would you like to join us in putting up the decorations, Passenger?
Icon Dialogue Talk Gladly.
Icon Dialogue Talk Love to help.
Abby: And it's completely ignoring me! Now it even chats up (‍Rover‍) like they're old buddies or something...
Chisa: Is something wrong with your friend?
Icon Dialogue Talk No idea.
Icon Dialogue Talk Abby's just a little excited today, that's all.
Chisa: After being an emergency shelter for so long, it's finally starting to become what it was supposed to be.
Chisa: I'll let you finish these last few decorations, (‍Rover‍).

(Obtained Menu Board and Cherry Blossom)
This appears to be a gallery set up by Chisa. It displays scenes from around Honami, and pictures she took with people she holds dear...
(Optional - Talk to Chisa)
Chisa: Maintain eye contact... Smile... Greet everyone as they come in...
Icon Dialogue Talk Feeling a bit nervous?
Chisa: A little bit. I'm... I'm just reviewing the basics of greeting guests.
Icon Dialogue Talk Hello, Acting Manager. You there?
Chisa: I'm listening. I'm just reviewing the basics of greetings and guests.
Chisa: Shashou Cafe is like "home" to me in Honami. Honestly, i-it's been a long time since I hosted anyone at home.
Chisa: I think the last time was... sometime in high school.
Icon Dialogue Talk You greeted me just fine.
Icon Dialogue Talk Just greet everyone like you'd greet me.
Chisa: To me, you're different from everyone else.
Icon Dialogue Talk Different?
Chisa: I-I didn't give it much thought at the time. Anyone... I need to pull myself together. A manager must stay composed.
(Optional - Talk to Abby)
Icon Dialogue Talk Still grumpy about earlier?
Abby: As if! I told you, there's something off about that furball. It's like the frequencies of people emotions all got balled up together like a... like a wad of bubble gum.
Abby: But then again... I didn't pick up anything bad from it though.
Icon Dialogue Talk Be nice to the mascot, Abby.
Icon Dialogue Talk You'll get along just fine.
Abby: A-Alright, alright, if you say so. I guess a chat wouldn't hurt.
(Optional - Investigate Amber)
You see a glistening piece of amber on the bar counter. It reminds you of someone you once met.
Namipon: Ah, this was left here by Passenger 3.
Icon Dialogue Talk Passenger 3?
Namipon: Passenger 1 is Chisa. You're Passenger 2. As for Passenger 3... Ahem...
Namipon: Passenger 3 is the relentless seeker of truth. She never game up her quest.
(Optional - Listen to Radio)
Radio: *Light, upbeat melody*
Radio: As the temps slowly climb, looks like that midsummer heat is comin' in hot. But don't sweat it. Up next, we've got a special announcement.
Radio: Our meteor trackers are lighting up. Looks like a shower is set to dazzle just after midnight tonight. For anyone up for a little stargazing, grab your friends and family to catch this "Midnight Summer Magic Show."
Radio: Coming up next, here's a list of the best viewing spots across the city...
Rover: (So the seasons in Honami that stood still are flowing again...)

(Help decorate the cafe)
Namipon: Passenger, Chisa was the one who proposed the party. She has put lots of effort into preparations.
Namipon: For this, I'd like to prepare a surprise—a special ornament just for her. Any recommendations?
Icon Dialogue Talk Maybe something related to her?
Icon Dialogue Talk Maybe something that she likes?
Namipon: Ah, yes. It must be something that Chisa would fall in love with immediately.
And just like that, after a little tinkering here and some cuts there, Namipon hands you the ornament it just finished...
(Obtained - Mysterious Standee)

(Place Namipon's mysterious decoration)
Chisa: ...
Icon Dialogue Talk ...
Chisa: What's... this?
Namipon: Oh, it's a standee of the cafe's manager. I made it with the lingering frequencies around.
Chisa: (‍Rover‍), do you like... No, what do you think of it?
Icon Dialogue Talk As stylish as the original.
Chisa:
Icon Dialogue Talk As cute as the original.
Chisa: Did you say... c-cute? Um, I guess just leave it like this, then.
Icon Dialogue Talk Fits in perfectly with everything around it.
Chisa: If you think it fits, then... alright.

(Talk to Namipon if you're ready)
Namipon: Thank you for lending us a hand with decorations, Passenger. I'm sure the others will be very pleased.
Icon Dialogue Arrow (Wait for your friends to arrive.)
Icon Dialogue Exit (Have a look around the cafe.)

Shorekeeper: (‍Rover‍), Chisa. I have arrived as scheduled.
Shorekeeper: I see you're all waiting here. Could I be mistaken about the time?
Chisa: No, not at all. We're glad you made it, Shorekeeper. Shasho Cafe welcomes you aboard!
Shorekeeper: I see.
Chisa: Mmm...
Namipon: Oh, say something, Passenger. This awkward silence is killing me...
Rover: Sounds like you two already met at the Black Shores.
Chisa: Yes. Shorekeeper personally oversaw all of the routine checkups during my recovery. She was very helpful.
Shorekeeper: Chisa remained on the verge of Overclocking for a prolonged period within a distorted temporal flow. Her case required a full evaluation by the Tethys System.
Namipon: Now it's suddenly turned into a conversation about work...
Buling: Hi, Boss! Heard you bought the whole place out?
Icon Dialogue Talk She's the manager.
Icon Dialogue Talk I'm just a customer like you are.
Buling: Very good lah! My reading for you said visitors from all around, wealthy coming in thick and fast. Super lucky day for an opening!
Chisa: You must be Buling?
Chisa: I've heard about you from (‍Rover‍). You're the one who helped pinpoint Honami's rift. Thank you.
Buling: It's no biggie. Me and Boss, we go way back. Just treat me to good meal and we're even.
Buling: Good to meet you, Chisa. And this floating one here... Hmm...
Namipon:I'm the cafe's mascot. Call me Namipon.
Buling: Hello, Namipon. You show the way? Been walking until my legs go jelly. Need to sit and rest a while.

Shorekeeper: ...
Icon Dialogue Talk What's the matter?
Icon Dialogue Talk Are the others on their way?
Shorekeeper: From the guest list you provided, only Encore, Buling, and myself were free to come. The others are either away or currently on assignment.
Shorekeeper: Encore... She locked herself in her room and insisted on finishing Tethy's assigned homework.
Icon Dialogue Talk I can't imagine how much homework that must be...
Icon Dialogue Talk Tell her it's time for another holiday.
Shorekeeper: Apologies. I didn't expect her to suddeny become so... competitive. It's a first, truly.
Chisa: Is Encore that little girl with pink hair? I helped her with some math problems over at the Haven of Sprouts once.
Chisa: She's a quick learner. She understood all the formulas I taught her in no time.
Icon Dialogue Talk So you were Encore's new tutor.
Icon Dialogue Talk That explains why she's picking fight with Tethys.
Chisa: There's still time before the party begins. Why don't we go inside and have a seat?

(Talk to everyone before the party begins)
Chisa Would you like to start off with something to drink?
Shorekeeper Anything would be fine, thank you.
Shorekeeper Is that...?
Chisa Oh... No need to mind that.
Shorekeeper Very well. I shall follow the proper code of this cafe, and prevent eye contact with your standee.
Chisa Wait, I... I didn't mean that.
(Talk to Buling)
Icon Dialogue Talk Why not take a seat?
Buling: It's okay, I'm just admiring the feng shui. Mmm, bright and open, good for drawing in fortune. Hard to find one so lucky.
Icon Dialogue Talk There's no safer place in all of Honami.
Buling: Speaking of Honami... I actually came to see if any special Reverberations were hiding in the city ruins.
Buling: But after coming here... It's really quiet. You won't find another place like this in the outside world.
Icon Dialogue Talk Is that good or bad?
Buling: A good thing, of course.
Buling: It means that lots of "people" here let go of whatever they were holding onto. Just poof, all gone!
Buling: ...Oh yeah, the coffee beans haven't been changed in ages, right? Next time I'll bring some of my favorite blends for you to try.
(Talk to Abby)
Abby: Nom-nom-nom. Ya know, it must be really rough for you. Having your frequency get split into pieces like that, and then clearing your head of all the clicking and buzzing.
Namipon: That's all in the past now. How's the Rice Dango?
Abby: Not bad, actually. Soft and chewy. Well... I guess I shouldn't have judged a Namipon by its smell.
Abby: Plus, you've been a big help to (‍Rover‍) these past few days. I'll come give you a hand after I'm done with this Dango.
Namipon: That's lovely! We'll take all the help we can get.
(Optional - Talk to Little Namipons)
Little Namipons: We... doing food prep for the party... Huge cake for opening... Keep up the good work... Yay...
Icon Dialogue Talk Where did all this food come from?
Little Namipons: Big-pon helped gather them... All local pure Remnants... 100% natural... Additive free...

(Talk to Shorekeeper)
Chisa: Here you go. I hope it's to your liking.
Shorekeeper: Thank you.
Shorekeeper: It's... a bit bitter. But nothing I can't bear.
Icon Dialogue Talk Sounds like it needs more sugar.
Shorekeeper: It's all right. I rather think of it as a novelty.
Icon Dialogue Talk How does it compare to the strong tea you had before?
Shorekeeper: I have to say that the tea was much more bitter.
Shorekeeper: Now then... (‍Rover‍), Chisa. The Black Shores has conducted another investigation on Startorch Academy, the school that you both once attended.
Shorekeeper: As of now, we can confirm that the Academy, along with the entire region of Lahai-Roi, has been completely isolated from the rest of the world by the Void Storm.
Icon Dialogue Talk The Void Storm?
Shorekeeper: A Waveworn Phenomenon unique to Lahai-Roi. When it's active, any form of communication is blocked.
Chisa: So you're saying... right now there's no way for us to reach the Academy?
Shorekeeper nods.
Camellya: Oh, you're all here. How come I wasn't invited to the party?
Icon Dialogue Talk I thought you couldn't make it?
Camellya: Don't be silly. Seeing you is always my No. 1 priority.
Shorekeeper: Cammellya, shouldn't you be on a mission?
Camellya: Got it done early. And I wouldn't finished it even sooner if someone had told me a city popped up off the coast of the Black Shores.
Camellya: So... you must be Chisa?
Chisa: ...Hello.
Camellya: I saw the report on Honami. Oh, it's such a shame I wasn't there for the excitement.
Camellya: You wouldn't mind having an extra girl at your party, would you? I'd like to make up for all the fun I missed.

(Talk to everyone before the party begins)
Camellya: A city doomed to be destroyed again and again. Irideglow that triggers Overclocking, and TDs tearing through the streets...
Camellya: But never mind that. You're here. I'm here. The two of us can dance... doesn't that sound a lot more fun?
Camellya: Oh, (‍Rover‍). If I got pulled in too, how much more fun would that have been!
Icon Dialogue Talk ...
Camellya: I'll take it as a yes, then.
Icon Dialogue Talk Don't get ahead of yourself. The crisis is over.
Camellya: Fine, if you say so. I'll take those extra performances off the table, then.
Camellya: Anyway, pushing through the pain of Overclocking and mastering the shiver of death clawing at your spine... I spy with my little eye a promising seed.
Camellya: Interested in trying a little "germination test," Chisa? A little eval I host, just for the brave.
Chisa: Eval as in...?
Camellya: Defeat me, or be defeated.
Chisa: Is this... some kind of tradition in the Black Shores?
Camellya: Relax, dearie. Don't get worked up just yet. Hehe, you can show me your dance moves once you're fully recovered.

(Listen to the radio while waiting)
Radio: *Light, upbeat melody*
Radio: ...We have a special guest with us today—
Radio: Well hello to all the lovely listeners of the Pioneer Podcast. It's your old pal, Aalto.
Radio: Glad to have you. Mr. Aalto, why don't you start us off with the Lilyland incident?
Radio: It all happened during the Troupe of Fools' big tour. Tickets were already pretty cheap, but scalpers hogged them all and were ripping off unsuspecting fans.
Radio: Now the first time they've done something like this, actually.
Radio: After Brant, the head of the Troupe, found out about it, he put on a disguise one night and snuck into their hideout. "Retrieved" all the tickets and bills as evidence right under their noses.
Radio: It was bye-bye scalpers! Brant offered free tickets to all the fans that came to watch their play. Such a happy ending.
Radio: Well it sounds awfully like Brant did most of the work, Mr. Aalto. So... So what exactly was your role in all of this?
Radio: Ah-ha-ha... Well, I supplied Brant with intel on the hideout, of course. I was undercover and it all happened right in front of me.
Rover: ...
Rover: (So this radio can receive signals from outside of Honami now?)

(Everything's ready. Let the Acting Manager start the party!)
Chisa: Everyone's here, and the food and drinks are almost ready. Shall we start the party?
Icon Dialogue Arrow Let's get this party started.
Icon Dialogue Exit In a bit.
(Cutscene plays)
Abby: Hey!
Abby: Gimme that.
Abby: MINE!
Rover: Careful!
Abby: Whoa!
Camellya: Photo time's over.
Rover: Do the honors, Acting Manager.
Chisa: Mm.-hmm.
Chisa (In this Honami summer night, I wish—)
Chisa (For the moments spent with friends to last forever.)

Namipon: You're awake, dear Passenger.
Icon Dialogue Talk Did I... fall asleep?
Namipon: Yes, you did. Everyone had a fantastic time last night.
Namipon: After saying goodbye to your friends, you got tired and decided to take a rest in the cafe.
Rover: (I did...?)
Rover: (The only thing I remember is what happened right before watching the meteor shower.)
Namipon: What's the matter? Did you not sleep well?
Icon Dialogue Talk Where's Chisa?
Namipon: Chisa...
Namipon: Hehe, Chisa woke up before you. She tiptoed out for some fresh air. Said she didn't want to bother you.

(Find Chisa)
Namipon: Anything you'd like to know, Passenger? I'm here to help anytime.
Icon Dialogue Talk About last night's view...
Namipon: Mmm, it was the surprise "we" prepared, and Honami's way of answering everyone's wishes.
Namipon: The city is free from its sorrow. Time isn't stuck anymore. That was... a little epilogue after the "real ending." And a happy one.
Icon Dialogue Talk About what happened after the party...
Namipon: Actually... we had a big meteorite scare. Their original trajectory would have wiped out the whole Crossing.
Namipon: But you and Chisa gathered everyone's strength and turned that big scary rock... into a sky full of stardust...
Namipon: Then you curled up here in the cafe and took a nice, long nap. Chisa woke up first and watched you sleeping for a while.
Icon Dialogue Talk You sure that's what happened?
Icon Dialogue Talk Wait a minute, are you making this up?
Namipon: Oops, guess you got me there. But that last part is true, though.
Icon Dialogue Exit That's it for now.

The wall is covered with pictures from Shashou Cafe's opening day—
Although the time you spent with your friends was short, every moment was captured forever. Now it feels clear and close enough to see and touch.

Chisa: Good morning, (‍Rover‍).
Icon Dialogue Talk Good morning, Chisa.
Chisa: It feels like we're back to our adventuring days in Honami.
Chisa: That was a perfect wrap for our opening party. It was a very special night.
Chisa: A fitting conclusion for everything that's happened over the past two months, a celebration for the cafe's opening, and... a commemoration for meeting new friends.
Chisa: Even if we were to say farewell now, I wouldn't have any regrets.
Icon Dialogue Talk Farewell?
Icon Dialogue Talk So you've made a decision?
Chisa: Yes. I have decided what I'll do next.
Chisa: I will return home first and find my parents. After that, Startorch Academy, to complete my studies.
Chisa: Neither will be easy, but I will overcome whatever stands in my way, just like... how we did together in that Tower.
Chisa: "Nothing can trap me... I'll find my way back."
Rover: That's right. Nothing can stop you.
Chisa: We'll be going our separate ways for a while. But I'm sure when this is all over, you and I will see each other again.
Chisa: No... when the time comes, I promise I'll come looking for you.
Chisa: Then again, I won't be leaving right away. The Black Shores still wants me back for a few health checkups.
Chisa: What do you say I join the Black Shores during this time just like Camellya suggested?
Chisa: That one was a joke. Now comes the real part.
Chisa: Thank you, (‍Rover‍)... Thank you for everything you've done for me.

(Cutscene plays)
Abby: Woah, why are your frequencies leaking all over the place?!
Abby: Grrr!
Rover: It's like... something's pulling them out...
Chisa: Is that...
Chisa: Startorch Academy?

Shorekeeper: Your frequency loss has been contained for now. How are you feeling?
Icon Dialogue Talk Much better.
Shorekeeper: I'm glad to hear that. Your vitals are also within normal parameters now.
Abby: ugh, this part of you feels completely empty. Let me check that out for you.
Icon Dialogue Talk Abby's out cold. I think I'm next.
Shorekeeper: How can that be...? The readings tell me your vitals are within normal parameters now.
Abby: Hey, I'm still wide awake ya know, just a little beat. And this part of you feels completely empty.
Chisa: ...
Shorekeeper: The connection between your frequency and the rift has been cut off. You are out of immediate danger.
Icon Dialogue Talk Why did my frequency start to dissipate?
Icon Dialogue Talk What was trying to siphon my frequency?
Shorekeeper: We are unable to confirm at this time. But frequency signatures identical to the Void Storm were detected in the rift's proximity.
Shorekeeper: The most likely scenario is that this rift is acting as a conduit between here and the Lahai-Roi region, which is also where your frequency was drawn to.
Rover: Lahai-Roi is where it all started. Guess we'll need to pay the place a visit to find out the actual cause.
Chisa: The Void Storm at Startorch was what brought me to Honami in the first place. Now it's the other way around.
Chisa: Do you suppose this rift can take us straight to Lahai-Roi?
Shorekeeper: ...
Icon Dialogue Talk Is that a viable option?
Shorekeeper: Theoretically, yes. However, the frequencies inside the rift are highly unstable, and you are likely to lose your way without proper navigation.
Shorekeeper: I'm afraid now is not the appropriate time.

(Investigate the area around the rift)
Fabio: "Safety risk, moderate. Further surveillance is needed." That'll do as the report for Valentina for now.
Icon Dialogue Talk Notice anything unusual?
Fabio: The rift seems to be in a stasis. No Tacet Discords popping out of it, at least.
Fabio: But I've recognized a few flashing images within the rift.
Icon Dialogue Talk Is it Startorch Academy?
Fabio: Yes. Most information about that school is highly classified.
Fabio: I only know what I do because a friend of mine is an instructor there, but we've been out of touch for a long time.
Maki: Phew, never thought I'd actually be here, standing in the post-apocalyptic city from the storybooks I read when I was a kid.
Icon Dialogue Talk Hello?
Maki: Hi, there, Bloom Bearer. I've collected some frequency samples and am analyzing them now.
Icon Dialogue Talk Got anything so far?
Maki: Yep. Aside from the Void Storm readings we got around the rift, we also found scattered foreign frequencies in the vicinity.
Maki: What might have happened is that frequencies from another region got "spat out" into Honami when the rift was formed.
Icon Dialogue Talk Another region... as in Lahai-Roi?
Maki: That's right. We still need to verify their exact origins, but the general areas are pretty much narrowed down.

Namipon So this is where the radio went...
Platya What's with all that noise it's making?
Platya: Oh, you're here. Look what I found.
Platya: Spotted it next to the rift. Here, listen to this—
Radio: This time... we... as our guest.
Platya: The thing's not even turned on, but it's been playing these choppy sounds non-stop.
Namipon: I see the problem here... Try adjusting its receiver, Passenger.

(Adjust the radio)
Namipon: If not mistaken, the sounds will become clearer once you've adjusted it to the right frequency.
Rover: (Let's give this a try then.)
Icon Dialogue Talk (Adjust the knob clockwise)
Namipon: Hmm, that doesn't seem right. Try the other way.
Rover: (In that case...)
Icon Dialogue Talk (Adjust the knob counter-clockwise)
Namipon: Oh, oh! There you go!
Radio: *Static*... Mrs. Kuchiba, would you mind sharing with us why you chose this particular design... *static*... of the Academy's new uniform?
Chisa: Huh?
Radio: The inspiration came from... well, my daughter. She once made a cutout of this pattern from some old fabric at home...
Radio: ...Very interesting... *static*... It really captures the Academy's spirit...
Radio: *Static*... If it's this uniform, I thought... my little Chisa would love to wear it...
Radio: *Loud whistle*
Radio: *Complete silence*
Namipon: Something's probably broken inside. I'll take a look.
Chisa: Namipon, was that a live signal from Lahai-Roi?
Namipon: Yes, it was. That cassette we put inside lets it receive radio signals from the rift.
Namipon: With the right tweak, maybe I can track it. Like I did with Neon Tower's—
Chisa: It sounded like the Academy's radio talk show... But why did I hear my mother?
Chisa: Does that mean she's at Startorch? Why is she there? Is she... looking for me?
Namipon: Chisa?
Rover: (Chisa will need some time to process everything.)
Shorekeeper: I am detecting a unique frequency from this radio...
Namipon: It has formed a connection with Lahai-Roi on the other end of the rift.
Namipon: Once it's all fixed up, I can piggyback on this frequency and plot coordinates from there to Honami.
Shorekeeper: Understood. With established coordinates, you will be able to navigate your way within the rift.
Shorekeeper: The Black Shores will also assist with stabilizing the rift to ensure your safety as much as possible.
Shorekeeper: ...Should you decide to travel to Lahai-Roi. To Startorch Academy.
Icon Dialogue Talk What do you know about Lahai-Roi
Shorekeeper: It is a region once forgotten, covered in snow most of the year and sparsely populated. No Sentinel is there to guide its civilization.
Icon Dialogue Talk Lahai-Roi has been mentioned a lot in passing lately.
Shorekeeper: Beneath its ice fields lie Startorch Academy and numerous research facilities, built by a multinational alliance known as the Spacetrek Collective.
Shorekeeper: Startorch Academy enacts a strict access protocol for all personnel. I will have the necessary paperwork in place before your departure.
Chisa: Looks like I need to make changes to my plans...
Chisa: I want to go back to Startorch Academy.
Chisa: My family is there, and so are my instructors and classmates. The future may be uncertain, but I know what I have to do.
Icon Dialogue Talk We'll find the missing frequencies.
Icon Dialogue Talk We'll find out the truth.
Icon Dialogue Talk We'll return to the Academy we attended.
Chisa: Now, we wait. And then...
Chisa: We get through this together.

Radio: *Static noises*
Voice from the Silence: *Static*... The universe... has rejected us...
Voice from the Silence: ...Is this the answer you've been seeking, (‍Rover‍)?
Voice from the Silence: I hope to make you proud. I hope I haven't let you down...

(Quest completed)

Chisa: Is something wrong, (‍Rover‍)? Why did you turn back?
Icon Dialogue Talk I heard a voice on the radio just now.
Icon Dialogue Talk I heard someone calling my name.
Chisa: You did? I'm right next to you, but... I didn't think I heard anything.
Icon Dialogue Talk You sure you didn't hear anything strange?
Chisa: Yes. You must be exhausted. Should we go back to the cafe?
Icon Dialogue Talk I guess I could use some rest.
Icon Dialogue Talk No need. I'm fne.
Rover: (I don't think I was imagining it... that voice.)

Shorekeeper: I will be using my powers to stabilize the rift's channel.
Icon Dialogue Talk Did you hear any voices on the radio earlier?
Shorekeeper: No, to my ears the radio has been silent.
Shorekeeper: However, I was able to sense a peculiar frequency for a brief moment.
Shorekeeper: It felt independent from the Honami Sonoro Sphere, as if... it existed beyond a singular dimension.

Glossary[]

  • Startorch Academy - Startorch Academy is a comprehensive research facility that doesn't belong to any country, built with the goal of collaborative scientific research. It is an academic metroplis driven solely by educational and research pursuits. Compared to its official title of "Startorch Academy," the people of Solaris prefer to call it the "Resonator Academy."
  • Spacetrek Collective - An international scientific organization jointly established by various nations and organizations of Solaris. It oversees the research, development, and construction work in Lahai-Roi. It was the Spacetrek Collective that built the Research Institute and the Startorch Academy in the vast space beneath the frostlands.
  • Void Storm - The regional Waveworn Phenomenon of Lahai-Roi that disrupts the frequencies of anything around it. It happens in a somewhat cyclical pattern.
  • Waveworn Phenomena - The Lament's power causes destructive waves across the land of Solaris. Manifestations like the "Tacet Fields," "Tacet Discord Outbreaks," and the enigmatic "Tacetite" are part of what is collectively known as the "Waveworn Phenomena."
