- Dorothy: Really? That's not too surprising though... Anything can happen here! Maybe I mixed up the time, mistaking what hasn't happened with what already has...
- You're the child from before.
- Dorothy: That's right! I feel like we've met somewhere else before. But... when?
- Dorothy: Hmm, I can't remember.
- Dorothy: Oh, by the way, have you seen that large black cat?
You mean... the Gatekeeper?
- Dorothy: I don't know its name, but it's a super big black cat! Like bigger than a tiger!
- We fought once.
- Dorothy: Huh... why? It's not a bad cat.
- Dorothy: There are scary monsters beyond the gate. I've seen them before, but this time, they feel... different.
- Dorothy: Something tells me they're from somewhere... "deeper."
- You mean, the depths of dreams?
- Dorothy: I'm not sure. They're probably from somewhere I haven't been... or even know about.
- Dorothy: They're tough. My friends and I couldn't handle them. But, thankfully, that black cat showed up out of nowhere.
- Dorothy: It carried me on its back and brought me through the gate, but then… it turned around and went back.
- Dorothy: (Rover), could you help us? Please defeat those monsters and save my friends and that big black cat!
- Dorothy: Even though most of my friends are still stuck on the other side, all of us who got out will help you like always!

- Has this happened before?
- Dorothy: Maybe... at some point in the future? After all, time is a closed loop.

- Ebony Gatekeeper: It's been a while, (Rover). You did it. The Somnoire has returned to peace.
- Where's Dorothy?
- Ebony Gatekeeper: I've sent her back to the Somnoire. She doesn't belong here. It's not good for her to stay in the outside world for long.
- Ebony Gatekeeper: Once again, thank you for helping us through the crisis.
- Ebony Gatekeeper: All that talk about balance... and look at the mess that ivory fool made. We had to clean up after him.
- So he created those nightmares?
- Ebony Gatekeeper: You could say that. Though it was more of an accident than anything.
- Ebony Gatekeeper: He opened a gate that should never have been opened, allowing those monsters from the depths to slip into the shallower realm.
- Ebony Gatekeeper: The good thing is, we managed to draw their attention and buy him some time. If he's smart, he should've sealed the gate by now.
- Why did he open the gate?
- Ebony Gatekeeper: I have my suspicions, but it's too soon to reveal them. I'll have a "talk" with him first.
- Ebony Gatekeeper: Our paths will cross again soon, (Rover)... And that's when you'll once again determine the Somnoire's fate.
