Imperator is the Sentinel of Rinascita. They wield the power to split and manipulate space. Their form was originally that of a Pegasus, but they became a Sea-Horse after being corrupted by and merging with Leviathan, the Rinascitan Threnodian.
Overview[]
The Carnevale, the grandest celebration in Ragunna, is held as a tribute to Imperator and Their deeds. It is said that Imperator will manifest at the peak of the Carnevale and crown the finest performer with the "Laurel", which grants the bearer the rare opportunity to commune with the Sentinel and receive Their wisdom.
It is at odds with the Threnodian Leviathan.

- There has been several mentions thus far that the people of Ragunna may be incorrect about Imperator's identity.
- Ariosto, an undercover Black Shores agent stationed in Ragunna, states that the statues in the city do not match the description of Imperator in the their records.
- Upon inspecting a tablet in the Seminary of the Forgotten, Phoebe comments that the figure of the Sentinel doesn't quite look like the statues. [1]
- It is revealed in The Maiden, The Defier, The Death Crier that Imperator's original form was that of a Pegasus, and it only assumed the Sea-Horse form after merging with Leviathan during the First Dark Tide.
Etymology[]
- "Imperator" was a title used in the Roman Republic, originally granted temporarily to victorious generals before later being used as part of an Emperor's titulature. It is derived from the word imperare, meaning 'to order, to command'.
