Negative Statuses are stackable DoT effects and debuffs that can be applied to both enemies and Resonators.

Effects[]

  • Fusion Burst: When Fusion Burst is stacked to its max, all stacks will be removed to trigger an explosion, dealing Fusion DMG around the target. Fusion Burst stacks up to 10 times by default. The higher the stacks, the more DMG dealt.
  • Glacio Chafe: When Glacio Chafe is inflicted, the target receives Glacio DMG. Glacio Chafe stacks up to 10 times by default. Each stack of Glacio Chafe reduces the target's Movement Speed. When Glacio Chafe reaches max stacks, the target will be frozen, and all stacks of Glacio Chafe will be removed. Struggle to accelerate your recovery from the frozen state.
  • Aero Erosion: While Aero Erosion lasts, it deals periodic Aero DMG to the target. The DMG of Aero Erosion scales with the number of stacks.
  • Electro Flare: While Electro Flare lasts, it deals periodic Electro DMG to the target. The target loses half of the effect stacks with each instance of damage. Electro Flare stacks up to 10 times by default. The higher the stacks, the more DMG dealt. At maximum stacks of Electro Flare, any new stack inflicted becomes stackable Electro Rage. Electro Rage increases the DMG dealt by the next Electro Flare trigger. Electro Rage is removed once triggered. Electro Rage stacks up to 10 times by default. The higher the stacks, the more DMG Electro Flare deals.
  • Spectro Frazzle: While Spectro Frazzle lasts, it deals periodic Spectro DMG to the target. The target loses 1 stack of the effect with each instance of damage. The DMG of Spectro Frazzle scales with the number of stacks.
  • Havoc Bane: While Havoc Bane lasts, the DEF of the inflicted target is reduced. Havoc Bane stacks up to 3 times by default, with each stack reducing the target's DEF by 2%.

Damage Calculation[]

The damage formula for negative statuses differs somewhat from regular damage, although the basic formula is still the same.

At present, only two effects (Spectro Frazzle and Aero Erosion) are available to characters and thus, are testable. Negative Status DMG appears to scale based on the stats of the last character who applied the stack, and this damage triggers every 3 seconds after the first stack is applied.
How often stacks are reduced (ignoring effects such as Spectro Rover's Shimmer) depends on the specific negative status. Spectro Frazzle stacks are removed every 3s, while Aero Erosion stacks are reduced every 15s.

Base Damage[]

Level Multiplier[]

The Level Multiplier is based on the level of the unit. The exact equation used for this value remains unknown, but some levels are known. Units max out at 3674, the value at lvl 90.

Level Multiplier
10 16
50 229
80 2005
90 3674

Stack Multiplier[]

Increasing the Aero Erosion stack cap above 3 is only possible with effects like Aero Rover's Outro.

Stacks Frazzle Erosion
10 1.995 -
9 1.800 -
8 1.605 -
7 1.409 -
6 1.216 4.497
5 1.020 3.597
4 0.8251 2.698
3 0.6298 1.799
2 0.4355 0.899
1 0.240 0.360

Resistance[]

Resistances for Negative Status DMG works as it does for regular damage, with the sole exception that it is unknown if Elemental Reduction affects it.

Bonuses[]

The only means to modify Negative Status DMG appears to be through specific Amplify effects targeted at the Negative Status itself. Effects that are more generic, such as an Attribute DMG Amplify effect, do not affect Negative Status DMG. To simplify application possession, most of these effects are party-wide, such as Phoebe's Confession-state Outro.
