Suan'nis are mythical beasts, possessing Resonance Abilities akin to those of human Resonators.
Having been driven to near extinction, Lingyang, going by the alias "Jingle Beast," is believed to be the last living Suan'ni.
History[]
The Suan'nis used to live under the giant Violet Banyan tree in the Dim Forest, far from human civilization. It is believed that Moon Lanterns on the Violet Banyan tree were hung by the Suan'nis, who yearned for light in the dark forest, even if it was only artificial.[1][2]
Legends suggest that humans and Suan'ni used to have a closer relationship. The Suan'ni once led human troops in their battles against Tacet Discords, and were honored as an auspicious beast and a loyal friend by humans. This inspired the Liondance, which continues to be practiced in Huanglong. This relationship was strained when the Waveworn Phenomenon began to flourish and Tacet Fields devoured their jungles.[3]
The Suan'nis were forced into human territories, causing significant conflicts due to their formidable powers and wild nature. This led to their reputation as dangerous and evil beings, as well as their near extinction.[4]
