Dialogue[]
- (Approach the crowd near Bei Shi)
- Male Pioneer: This creature must be quite big, huh?
- Man: Yeah, [sic] Long tusks, sharp claws, and traces of the Resonance Power...
- Female Pioneer: This is a significant discovery, enough for several more reports.
- Female Researcher: Let's collect smaples and conduct a thorough investigation over here.
- Male Researcher: Be careful! Don't disturb the precious scene.
- (Talk to Bei Shi)
- Bei Shi: Hi, (Rover), long time no see! Do you still remember me?
- I do.
- Bei Shi: My brother and I are super grateful for the help we got from you and Lingyang. Please let me thank you again!
- I don't.
- Bei Shi: It's me, Bei Shi! My brother and I are super grateful for the help we got from you and Lingyang. Please let me thank you again!
- It's you! Qiaomu!
- Bei Shi: Who's that... It's me, Bei Shi! My brother and I are super grateful for the help we got from you and Lingyang. Please let me thank you again!
- What are you doing here?
- Bei Shi: We at the Pioneer Association are planning an in-depth investigation into the Jingle Beast's mysteries.
- Bei Shi: I've read lots of ancient books on this topic during this time.
- Bei Shi: The books said the Jingle Beast used to live naer the Violet Banyan, so I proposed coming here for an investigation.
- Bei Shi: But our plan had to be put on hold because of the dangerous spores here.
- Bei Shi: Until not long ago, the Academy sent us a message that the spores had been cleared. We hurried over here as soon as we got the all-clear from them!
- Bei Shi: And you know what? We really found some traces of a large creature having lived here!
- Bei Shi: The researcher on our team did a quick analysis, and they've came to the preliminary conclusion that it must be the Jingle Beast.
- Bei Shi: And the Moon Lanterns on the tree... The Jingle Beast, or maybe its family too, they must have put them up there... Why did they do that?
- Bei Shi: And this... Lucky Greetings Collection?!
- Bei Shi: How weird!
- Bei Shi: Has the Jingle Beast learned how to talk already?
- Bei Shi: But why would it choose to learn the Lucky Greetings, of all things...
- (Investigate around Violet Banyan)
- (Optional - Approach Bei Shi after investigating)
- Bei Shi: What's really going on here...
- Bei Shi: It's quite perplexing
- (Optional - Talk to Bei Shi after investigating)
- Bei Shi: The Jingle Beast should've left behind some traces. Please let us know if you find anything suspicious.
- Bei Shi: I know you're a very experienced explorer, but just in case: Please try not to disturb the scene.
- Have you found anything?
- Bei Shi: I found some red packets, drum sticks, and Lionpeppers...
- Bei Shi: All common stuff in Jinzhou. Nothing special. It just baffles me to no end...
- Lingyang: Oh my, how did I leave such an important thing behind...
- I was worried the Qixing Drum could be too loud...
- Lingyang: Whoa, (Rover)?! Why-why are you here?
- No idea. My feet took me here.
- Lingyang: R-really? Me too! What a coincidence, ahahaha...
- Lingyang: Have you heard? Bei Shi's team just found some traces left by the Jingle beast. What a surprise!
- Lingyang: By the way, where did you learn that from?
- From the Lucky Greetings Collection we found in a tree hole.
- Lingyang: Really? How strange! Someone must have forgotten it there!
- Lingyang: I mean... The Jingle Beast, learning how to do Lucky Greetings? Who could have thought...
- Yeah. Why would it do that?
- Do you know why, Lingyang?
- Lingyang: Me? Uh, I have no idea...
- Lingyang: Maybe it just wanted to make people happy. Wanted to blend in...
- Lingyang: After all, everyone likes the Lucky Greetings, right? Ahahaha...
- About the Moon Lanterns...
- Lingyang: If this is really the place where the Jingle Beast used to live... Maybe it put up the first Moon Lantern here?
- Lingyang: Perhaps, after being stuck in the dark for so long, even the Jingle beast would want some light...
- Lingyang: Even if it's just a little bit of artificial moonlight... It would have made it feel less lonely.
- So it's not alone now.
- Lingyang: Yeah, indeed.
- Lingyang: I'm sure it's no longer feeling lonely... Not anymore.
- About the poisonous spores...
- Lingyang: One day, these weird spores suddenly showed up in the Dim Forest, after the Lament hit.
- Lingyang: They turned the once peaceful forest into a deadly wasteland, and many of the forest's inhabitants had to flee their home.
- Lingyang: I've been trying to clean up the forest, but I couldn't do it on my own...
- I got the situation dealt with.
- Lingyang: Really?! (Rover), how did you do that? I can't believe it... You just did something I've been dreaming of doing every day... You're so cool!
- Lingyang: Thank you, (Rover)! The forest and I will never forget your help!
- Well, I heard the forest is clean now?
- Lingyang: Yeah! I wonder who cleaned up the forest... They must be a very amazing person...
- Lingyang: If I ever get the chance, I must thank them properly in person. The forest and I will never forget their help.
- (Optional - Talk to Lingyang after the quest)
- Lingyang: If even the Dim Forest can be restored to what it once was...
- Lingyang: Then surely we can defeat the Lament as well, right?
- Lingyang: We'll see the world fully recover one day.
- Lingyang: If I could ever have the chance, I want to witness it with you.
- Lingyang: Until then please stay safe and sound.
- Lingyang: Goodbye, (Rover)! No matter how many times, I still want to tell youL: Fare thee well, blessings swell!
