Negative Statuses[]

Adjusted the effects of Havoc Bane, Fusion Burst, Glacio Chafe, and Electro Flare.

Havoc Bane
  • Some Havoc attacks will apply a stackable Havoc Bane effect to the target.
  • While Havoc Bane lasts, the DEF of the inflicted target is reduced. Havoc Bane stacks up to 3 times by default, with each stack reducing the target's DEF by 2%.
Fusion Burst
  • Some Fusion attacks will apply a stackable Fusion Burst effect to the target.
  • When Fusion Burst is stacked to its max, all stacks will be removed to trigger an explosion, dealing Fusion DMG around the target. Fusion Burst effect stacks up to 10 times by default. The higher the stacks, the more DMG dealt.
Glacio Chafe
  • Some Glacio attacks will apply a stackable Glacio Chafe effect to the target.
  • When Glacio Chafe is inflicted, the target receives Glacio DMG. Glacio Chafe stacks up to 10 times by default. The higher the stacks, the more DMG dealt. Each stack of Glacio Chafe effect reduces the target's Movement Speed.
  • When Glacio Chafe reaches max stacks, the target will be frozen, and all stacks of Glacio Chafe will be removed. Struggle to accelerate your recovery from the frozen state.
Electro Flare
  • Some Electro attacks will apply a stackable Electro Flare effect to the target.
  • While Electro Flare lasts, it deals periodic Electro DMG to the target. The target loses half of the effect stacks with each instance of damage. Electro Flare stacks up to 10 times by default. The higher the stacks, the more DMG dealt.
  • At maximum stacks of Electro Flare, any new stack inflicted becomes stackable Electro Rage. Electro Rage increases the DMG dealt by the next Electro Flare trigger. Electro Rage is removed once triggered. Electro Rage stacks up to 10 times by default. The higher the stacks, the more DMG Electro Flare deals.

Echo Recommendation[]

  • Added a "Main Echo" slot
    • A "Main Echo" slot will be added to the "Suggest" feature on the Echo equipment menu, in addition to the existing "Mainstat" and "Substat" slots.
    • The top three most-equipped Main Echoes will be displayed along with their respective percentages.
    • Selecting a suggested Main Echo will automatically filter the listed Echoes and display only all examples of the selected Main Echo.

One-click Absorption of Echoes[]

  • Adjusted Echo absorption
    • One-click absorption of all absorbable Echoes within a certain range instead of one-by-one absorption.
    • Wider absorption radius inside a Nightmare Nest than in the Overworld.

Auto Supplement[]

  • Added the "Auto Supplement" feature
    • Added the "Auto Supplement" feature to the Resonator Ascension, Weapon Ascension, and Skill Upgrade menus. If you already have all the required upgrade materials, you can proceed with the Ascension/Upgrade process as usual. If the required upgrade materials are insufficient, clicking the "Auto Supplement" button will open the Auto Supplement screen.
    • Through the Auto Supplement screen, you can see what materials you have and how many more you need, and use Synthesis, Conversion, or Supply Packs to obtain the rest of the required materials.
    • During Purification, if low-rarity materials are insufficient, the system will begin searching for lower-rarity materials and Supply Packs to auto-fill the required material list until all requirements are met.
    • If Synthesis, Conversion, and Supply Packs still cannot provide enough materials, a shortcut button will appear to direct you to where you can acquire more.

Whimpering Wastes & Tower of Adversity[]

  • Adjusted certain functions in Whimpering Wastes and Tower of Adversity
    • Only the [Utilities] menu, [Chat] menu, and [Details] menu of the current stage will be accessible during a Whimpering Wastes or Tower of Adversity challenge.
    • Opening the Utility wheel or accessing certain features during a Whimpering Wastes or Tower of Adversity challenge will no longer freeze or slow the time.
  • When a Tactical Hologram: Phantom Pain challenge is initiated again, the Resonators' STA will now instantly be restored to the maximum.
  • Following the Version 2.8 update, when you reenter a domain, the Utility tool that was selected when you exited it will be automatically selected.
  • Adjusted the eligibility requirements for initiating some Nightmare Nest challenges.

Controls[]

  • Optimized the display of function buttons during cutscenes in controller mode to prevent conflicts with QTE prompts.

UI[]

Guidebook:[]

  • Adjusted the display and functionality of Guidebook
    • Tower of Adversity, Whimpering Wastes, Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways in the Recurring Challenges section of Guidebook will be put under their own tab, also called Recurring Challenges.
    • The other content of the Recurring Challenges section of Guidebook will be put under a new tab, called Material Spots.
    • Adjusted the display of the Weekly Challenge section. The challenges will be displayed in the order in which the respective bosses appear in the game.
    • Added a reminder for recommended events. When a recommended event is in the limited-time period, a reminder will appear on the main screen when you enter the game.
    • In the prompt that appears after exiting or completing a Boss Challenge, a "Restart" button will now appear.

    • Added support for DFAO (Distance Field Ambient Occlusion) on PC under some PC graphics settings to partially improve the lighting effects.
    • Optimized the Global Illumination effects for some indoor scenes.

Performance Optimizations[]

  • Optimized the game's overall efficiency
    • Following the version 2.8 update, the GPU load from Ray Tracing and increased frame rates will be reduced.
    • Following the version 2.8 update, memory and VRAM usage will be reduced when various types of scenes are being displayed.
  • Added interactivity to the willows and other environment assets in Chronorift Metropolis on PC.
  • Adjusted the effects of the interaction between a character and fallen leaves while walking or running on PC under different frame rates.

    • Access the "Mute when Game is in the Background" option via Settings > Sounds > Volume.
    • When the option is enabled, the game will be muted if minimized to the taskbar or running in the background.
  • Adjusted the background music for some screens to make it mesh better with the content being displayed.
  • Adjusted the background music and sound effects in certain scenes.

Beta Features[]

  • Added the "Selective Download" and "Resource Cleanup" features on Mobile
  • (This feature is at the testing stage and will be available only on some Android devices and iOS devices in Version 2.8.)
    • On the login screen, a selective download menu will appear, and the necessary part of the Core Assets will be downloaded by default. When the download is complete, you will enter the game.
    • In the game, based on your current progress, the remaining assets may be downloaded as you play.
    • Resource Cleanup is a feature that accompanies the selective download feature. This feature allows you to delete cutscenes that you have watched and are saved on your device, and it can be accessed via Settings > Other > Resource Cleanup.
    • Due to our testing schedule, the released selective download feature will be upgraded after the version 2.8 update. Please note that this feature will be inaccessible during the scheduled upgrade maintenance.
      • This feature is at the testing stage and is subject to changes.

Game Client Auto-start[]

  • Added a "game client auto-start" feature on PC.
    • The game will now automatically restart on PC when the asset download is complete.
    • This feature will not be available on some platforms.

  • Fixed an issue where some of Resonator Qiuyuan's skills might cause parts of the Resonator's character model, including the bamboo hat, to behave abnormally.
  • Fixed an issue where the annotation for the term "Internal Security Agency" found in Resonator Qiuyuan's Forte Examination Report, accessible via Resonators > Information > Experience, contained textual errors.
  • Fixed an issue where Resonator Qiuyuan's Dash Voiceline could not be triggered.
  • Fixed an issue where the background music might fail to play properly after Resonator Qiuyuan cast Resonance Liberation "Sundering Strike."
  • Fixed an issue where when Resonator Qiuyuan cast Resonance Liberation "Sundering Strike" or entered the "Inksplash of Mind" state, the skill VFX caused some Event pages to display abnormally.
