The Technical Test (TT) was the first public test for Wuthering Waves, before the Closed Beta Tests of 2023 and 2024. The test lasted for a few weeks during June 2022, a month after the game's announcement. The test was conducted only in China and remains poorly documented in English.
Content[]
The Technical Test contained little story content relevant to the release version, including the first appearance of Crownless, a fight between Scar and Encore, and a unique cinematic opening. Many lore terms would be rewritten by CBT1, including the Calament, Chorders, and Wutrelics. While the basics of today's combat system remain unchanged since the Technical Test, a complex system of Concerto Effects would later be replaced by the Intro/Outro system. These effects included Erosion (associated with Havoc), Domain (Spectro) and Array (Aero).
Playable Resonators[]
The Technical Test offered a number of resonators throughout the testing period.
